Service Drive Manager – Carlock CDJR

Description

The Service Drive Manager is responsible for overseeing the effective operations of the service drive, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing profitability. This role involves managing a team of service advisors, writing repair orders, scheduling appointments, and ensuring timely vehicle repairs and maintenance.

- Minimum of 2 years of automotive experience, preferably within a dealership environment

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Greet and welcome customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of service advisors, ensuring their performance meets company standards.
  • Scheduling: Manage the appointment scheduling process, optimizing workflow and maximizing shop capacity.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with technicians, customers, and management, providing updates and resolving issues promptly.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure adequate inventory levels of parts and supplies to support service operations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of service provided, ensuring that repairs are completed accurately and on time.
  • Financial Performance: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the financial health of the service department.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.  
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive service
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: Driver's license.
  • Skills:
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in automotive service software and systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
