Warranty Administrator

Warranty Administrator: 

Warranty administrators are responsible for guiding all steps of the repair process when a claim is being filed with the manufacturer under factory warranty. Prepares, records, and submits warranty claims to the manufacturer and reconciles them accordingly. Communication with advisors, technicians, and parts associates are essential. Admins would be monitoring repair orders to ensure the entire team has followed process to ensure the claim will be paid. 

Duties and responsibilities:

• Processes warranty claims on a timely basis.
• Processes all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation.
• Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.
• Posts credits on computer.
• Resubmits all rejected claims promptly or receives authorization to write them off.
• Assists with any clerical needs as directed by the fixed operations manager or the controller.
• Keeps informed of all factory recalls and bulletins.
• Follows up on payment of outstanding claims.
• Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.

• Experienced warranty administrator or similar position.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to excellence.
• High energy and the willingness to go above and beyond.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
